Our Journey to open the first eyelash salon franchise in the country…

Hi, I'm Anna Phillips, founder and CEO of The Lash Lounge™. When I developed The Lash Lounge™ concept in 2005, I had been in the beauty industry for almost a decade, and never imagined that one day I would build a business around eyelash extensions. Finding no other specialty salons with this concept from which I could get ideas, I began drafting the business plan and design for my new eyelash salon. The first Lash Lounge™ opened in 2006, and became an immediate success. It did not take long for the media to take notice and soon we were being mentioned in national magazines such as Seventeen and Allure along with numerous local publications. One year later we opened our second location in a high-end urban shopping and living center, followed by our third location in an up-and-coming urban living and shopping district. Even through the declining economy, we have not only managed to open our newest salon, but see it flourish while businesses around us are closing their doors. We feel very fortunate that women see our services as a necessity in their regular beauty maintenance.

Like most entrepreneurs, I started small and personally managed the product research and development, and then created every process, training manual and protocol. I knew we had a brilliant idea, and it would not be long before copycats would emerge. My sincere goals were to use the best products on the market, and to provide the best service to our clients. I knew we could raise the bar so high that it would be hard to compete with a visit to The Lash Lounge™. Our clients have consistently confirmed our mission and that means the world to me!

Coming into the beauty industry from corporate America, I can honestly say there has never been a day I have wanted to call in sick to work. I love what I do, making women look and feel better about themselves while giving them a lower maintenance routine.
