Today we are sharing how to make your eyelash extensions from The Lash Lounge – Victory Station last longer. After you get your first full-set, you are going to LOVE the results! You’re going to want to keep them looking full and fluffy. The good news is, our eyelash extensions only require minor maintenance before it’s time for a lash refill. We’ve got the 4-1-1 on lash longevity, plus expert eyelash aftercare tips.

1. Choose lashes that mimic your natural lash shape

During your initial consultation with us at The Lash Lounge – Victory Station, your trained stylist will ask you a series of questions to create your dream full-set! Choosing the lash shape is part of your custom design. Your stylist will choose a design that mimics your natural lash growth and shape. This will keep them looking more natural and last longer.

2. Avoid applying any oil-based skincare and makeup products

Applying oil-based skincare and makeup products can cause your eyelash extensions to fall off sooner. Be sure to stay away from waterproof mascara, and any alcohol-based products or cosmetics as well. Ask your stylist about our oil-free skincare and makeup products available at The Lash Lounge – Victory Drive during your next appointment.

3. Clean and brush them daily

The easiest way to make your lashes last longer is to keep them clean. You should be washing your face daily with an oil-free cleanser. We recommend using one of our oil-free, lash extension-safe foaming cleansers and makeup removers. This is the best way to keep your lashes clean and secure. You can purchase our Oil-Free Detox Cleanser at your next appointment! You also want to make sure you brush your lashes every morning with a clean mascara wand to keep your lashes full and fluffy.

4. Apply an eyelash extension sealer

If you have invested in lash extensions, then you should also invest in our lash sealant. This product goes a long way to extend the life of the adhesive used to attach the extension to your natural lash. It locks your extensions in place for a longer period of time. It is easy to apply, and important to extend the life of your lash extensions and increase retention in between lash fills.

5. Do not miss your refills

When your lashes shed and your extension hangs on for the ride, this is a clear indicator it’s time to get to The Lash Lounge for a refill. Like the hair on your head, shedding is a natural process of the lash releasing from the hair follicle. Since every lash is in a different part of the growth cycle, each will shed at a different rate. We recommend scheduling your refills 2-3 weeks from your initial appointment.
