CLEAN LASHES ARE HAPPY LASHES: A STEP BY STEP GUIDE ON HOW TO CLEAN YOUR LASHES

By: Sadie Disbrow

TIP ONE: RINSE AND REMOVE MAKEUP

Rise your eyelashes gently with water and use The Lash Lounge oil-free makeup remover to remove all eye makeup. We carry two different types of makeup remover, the gel and the liquid. We recommend the gel makeup remover to all who wear heavy eye makeup like eyeliner and mascara. The liquid makeup remover is great for those who wear light eye makeup like eye shadow and have sensitive eyes as the remover is formulated to be the same Ph as tears! Pick up a makeup remover at the nearest Lash Lounge by you!

TIP TWO: APPLY CLEANSER

After removing your make up be sure to use our oil-free lash foaming cleanser with a clean lash cleanser brush. Brush the foaming cleanser in a downward motion on your lashes. Once done rinse off with warm water!

P.s This lash cleanser is the same cleanser your stylist uses to clean your lashes at the beginning of every service!

TIP THREE: DRY YOUR LASHES

Softly pat your lashes dry using a microfiber or lint-free cloth like the Makeup Eraser. Follow that up by brushing your lashes out with a spoolie (a clean mascara wand).

FAQ’S FOR CLEANING YOUR LASHES

How often should I clean my lashes?

We recommend cleaning your lashes at least every other day. Keeping your lashes clean will enhance the life span of your extensions and allow them to look effortlessly beautiful all day long.

Why should I clean my lashes?

You should clean your lashes of dirt, oils, and dead skin cells that build up on your lash line over time and cause premature fallout. Cleansing them will prevent the possibility of build-up. This increases the life span of your lashes, as well as protect the beautiful full look that lash extensions give each guest!

Can I wear eye makeup with my extensions?

Of course, you can! Many guests choose eyelash extensions to ditch their mascara, but some like to wear it for special occasions or nights on the town. You can also wear eyeliners and eyeshadows as well! If you are going to wear make-up there are a few things you need to do.

  1. You must remove all your eye makeup before going to bed. This will let your eyelash extensions breathe as well as prevent any build-up.
  2. Do not use any oil or alcohol-based makeup products. Don’t worry, The Lash Lounge has you covered with a full line of oil and alcohol-free makeup.
