So Fresh + So Clean: How To Cleanse + Moisturize Your Skin Without Harming Your Lash Extensions!

As the summer comes to an end and the sun kissed glow begins to fade, proper cleansing and moisturizing are the keys to healthy and PH balanced skin. But how do you ensure that your lash extensions are not harmed in the process? We have a few tips from the best in the Lash Lounge – Chapel View biz!

Our salon trainer and master stylist, Meloiza, reminds us that an oil free option, like our Eye Makeup Remover Gel, is the way to go when removing makeup and cleansing your skin. The oils found in some cleansers and astringents can break down the adhesive bond on your extension resulting in shorter retention. Meloiza wears a full face of makeup complete with volume lash extensions. She applies the cleanser gently and uses circular motions that avoid the eye lid area, and suggests adding just a few drops of moisturizer to the outer ocular frame.

Stylist Hannah recommends using a soft lint free cloth that will not snag your lashes! Next time you are in for a lash fill ask your stylist to show you The Makeup Eraser, sold in our retail boutique. She, like Meloiza, wears a full face of makeup and shares with us that her “go-to” for lash aftercare is our Foaming Lash Cleanser and Lash Brush. Gentle, light strokes and a warm rinse to remove any makeup or free radicals will keep your lashes healthy and strong. Hannah shares that glowing skin is a fall necessity. We agree, Hannah!
