Stylist Spotlight! – Monet Sanchez of The Lash Lounge Albuquerque – NE
If you have visited our salon in the past year there’s a good chance you have seen or heard our stylist, Monet Sanchez. Monet has a bubbly and friendly personality and loves to share stories and connect with her guests during each service. Monet is originally from Albuquerque but moved to Arizona to attend beauty school, where she became an esthetician. After beauty school, Monet moved back to Albuquerque with her long-term boyfriend, Mannie and worked at a local Aveda salon before joining the Lash Lounge team in September of 2019. Monet has experience with Aveda products, bridal makeup, waxing, and facials; making her transition to become a lash stylist easy.
Monet is known at our salon at being a brow wiz and a lash extension perfectionist. Along with her excellent work, she builds lasting bonds with each of her guests, making them incredibly loyal.
“Becoming a certified lash stylist definitely wasn’t easy, it took a lot of hard work and dedication. I often went home with sore and cramped hands and strained eyes. One of my friends from beauty school inspired me to become a lash stylist. And when I started, she told me that lashing wasn’t for everyone. She definitely knew what she was saying, there were times when I thought I would quit. I’m so glad that I kept pushing and got through it because I’ve met some really great people along the way. “

When Monet isn’t at work, she shows her creative side through makeup! Monet is a very talented makeup artist and she often shares her fun and creative looks on her Instagram page. Monet said that makeup is a huge part of why she became an esthetician.
“Makeup is what got me into the beauty industry. When I was in high school, I started watching makeup tutorials on YouTube. I would see these women with such beautiful makeup looks and since my mom never wore much makeup, I didn’t have anyone to teach me how to do makeup. I looked to beauty influencers like Desi Perkins and iLuvSarhii to teach me all the techniques I use today. They inspired me to create my own makeup looks and use playful, fun and neutral colors. I love that makeup is my own creative escape for whenever I’m stressed out or just when I want something fun to do. “
For Monet makeup is fun and can be a great way of expressing herself. She does beautiful and elaborate makeup looks on her own time but often shows off her natural beauty with little to no makeup at work. On occasion Monet will even take a break from lash extensions and use our neuProfessionals lash serum to grow her natural lashes.

As many of Monet’s guests know, Monet loves dogs! Monet always talks about how she would one day love to adopt an adorable frenchie puppy. We absolutely support this decision and would love to see a new furry friend join the Lash Lounge Albuquerque fam.
“My favorite animal would have to be dogs. I just love how sweet and innocent they can be. They are very loyal and always seem to have so much love to give. I’ve never met a dog I haven’t liked. I’m that person that will pay more attention to a dog at a party than the people.“
