Always smiling and exuding joy, Goldie and Kate are clearly best friends and share an amazing relationship. Kate has followed in her mother’s famous footsteps and off the big screen, she also shares her mother’s love for life, as well as her healthy, active lifestyle.

Goldie & Kate’s Beauty Tips: When it comes to beauty, it’s apparent that great genes run in the family, but in a joint interview with Allure in 2013, Kate was asked what beaut secrets she learned from her Mom, and said “I think it’s more the stuff we eat. Like green juice—mom’s been drinking green juice forever. And taking teaspoons of olive oil. We love products and we have fun with products, but in terms of the real stuff that I’ve learned from mom, it’s her lifestyle. She was always healthy and active and drinking something green.”

Tina Knowles has always been known as a strong, confident woman – and clearly she passed that on to her daughter. Beyoncé and her mom have a strong bond and also share a love for beauty and cosmetics. Beyoncé grew up going to her mother’s salon in Houston, where she saw and learned a great deal. Fast forward to 2010, Tina collaborated with Beyoncé to open the Beyoncé Cosmetology Center at the Phoenix House in Brooklyn.

Beyoncés Beauty Tip: “My best beauty advice came from my mother. She always says that outer beauty fades and inner beauty has a lasting effect. She also told me to wash my makeup off before going to bed. I don’t always, but I’m trying!” (Source: ogleschool.edu)

This pair not only share beautiful features, but also beautiful voices and success in two well known music groups. Michelle was in the group The Mamas & The Papas in the 60’s and Chynna was (and still is) with the popular 90’s group, Wilson Phillips. Both women have taken great pride in taking care of themselves and Chynna has watched and learned from her mother over the years.

Michelle’s Beauty Tip: “Wash your face with soap every morning, with a mild cleanser and rinse it with the same soapy water 30 times.” She also shared, ” I always use moisturizer. And I always use L’Oreal. And here’s the big reason why I use it. I use it because I can buy it at my supermarket! A moisturizer with a sun block, and at night you use a moisturizer without sun block.” (source: knotslanding.net)

Chynna’s Beauty Tip: In an interview with Carol Au Courant, Chynna shared her top 4 natural beauty tips: “Get 10 hours of sleep each night. Use a mask – any mask – once per week on your face.  Never pop a zit.  And stay away from too much sugar, dairy, white flour, and anything processed.”

Where do we begin with this mother/daughter duo? While Diana is a tough act to follow, her daughter Tracee has paved her own way in the entertainment industry. This is another pair that clearly share amazing genes, however Tracee had a great teacher in her mother and learned how to care for herself.

Diana’s Beauty Tip: “My ‘quick makeups’ are jumbo eye pencils, really black black pencils, and mascara, maybe blusher and a light lip gloss, something nice for the day.” (source: vogue.com)

Tracee’s Beauty Tip: “I’m really big on hydration, you gotta drink the water so there’s hydration on the inside and the outside.” When it comes to moisturizing, Tracee has a unique method and recommends “spanking” your moisturizer into your face, by tapping lightly on your skin while the moisture sinks in.
