Brow lamination is one of today’s most popular treatments for taming unruly brows and helping them appear fuller and groomed. But what is eyebrow lamination and why is it trending?

Read on to learn more about this popular brow enhancement, what the service entails, how long it lasts AND how to care for your laminated brows after your appointment.

What is Eyebrow Lamination?

Eyebrow lamination is a non-invasive perming service that softens and repositions your natural brow hairs to create fuller, smoother and more defined eyebrows.

What Does Brow Lamination Do?

This quick service delivers beautiful, low-maintenance brows by:

  • Redirecting brow hairs to a more uniform, upward angle
  • Creating a shaped, manicured look
  • Making brows appear fuller
  • Giving you a polished look without the hassle of DIY brow grooming or makeup

What to Expect During Your Brow Lamination Appointment

Here’s what you can expect when you come to The Lash Lounge for eyebrow lamination!

Step 1: First Appointment and Consultation

  • When you meet your stylist, the two of you will discuss your brow goals and the look you have in mind.
  • During this time your stylist will assess your natural brows and facial features.
  • After that, the two of you will chat about the direction that will work best for your natural brow hairs and select the perfect look.

Step 2: The Service

Get relaxed and comfy—eyebrow lamination takes about an hour. Your stylist will:

  1. Apply a gel to each of your brow lines
  2.  Gently brush and smooth hairs into a holding position
  3. Apply a neutralizing cream to further secure the brows in place
  4. Finish by applying a super-enriched brow conditioner that fortifies your eyebrows with minerals, natural oils and extracts

Step 3: Final Touches

Once your brows are almost set, your stylist will apply a restorative cream, which acts as a 24-hour leave-in conditioner, keeping your brows healthy, nourished and silky smooth!

Step 4: Optional Brow Tint

During your consultation, if you and your stylist decided on added color, your stylist will apply a brow tint at this stage for extra definition.

Step 5: Your New Brows Are Revealed

Now the moment you’ve been waiting for…the big reveal of your NEW laminated eyebrows

Brow Lamination vs. Other Brow Services

Wondering how brow lamination measures up to other popular brow services?

  • Brow Tinting: Like getting your hair colored, but for your brows! The color boost lasts up to 4 weeks and takes just 30 minutes.
  • Brow Threading: Creates a clean, manicured brow look in the shape you desire with results that last up to 4 weeks.
  • Microblading: A semi-permanent pigment technique that mimics the look of single brow hairs across your eyebrow area and lasts for 1–3 years.

How Long Does Brow Lamination Last?

Eyebrow lamination can last up to 6 weeks! This means no more daily time spent getting your brows to cooperate. All you have to do is take care of them, which is simple!

The first 24 hours after getting your eyebrows laminated, DON’T

  • Touch or rub your eyebrows
  • Apply makeup, skincare or self-tanner on or around the brows and brow area
  • Get your brows wet (showering, swimming, sweating)
  • Lie face down while sleeping

 Aftercare for your laminated brows:

After 24 hours, let the EASY aftercare routine begin!

  • Cleanse your brows daily with an oil-free cleanser like our Lash Detox Foaming Cleanser (works for brows, too!)
  • Gently comb your brows to keep them in place. Our Crystal Lash Wand works wonders for combing eyebrows!

Is Brow Lamination Safe?

Eyebrow lamination is considered safe when you choose a trained professional who works in a clean environment and uses quality products during the service. Like any beauty service performed on or near the skin, there are potential risks for sensitivities.

At The Lash Lounge, we can perform a patch test prior to beginning the service to determine if a reaction is likely. Discuss this and any concerns you have with your stylist before the eyebrow lamination service begins.
