The Difference Between Classic and Volume Eyelash Extensions

One of the first things we discuss when a new guest visits one of our salons is the difference between classic and volume eyelash extensions, which we are also going to share today! Before we jump into explaining the difference between these two lash applications, let’s revisit semi-permanent eyelash extensions and what exactly they are.

Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions

These are individual extensions made of a synthetic material to look like perfect natural eyelashes; thicker at the base and thinner at the tip with a slight curl. The most popular color is solid black; however, they do come in many other color options. Each extension is adhered one by one to a natural lash using a medical-grade bonding adhesive, which gives the appearance of a darker, more voluptuous lash-line.

Now for the difference between Classic and Volume!

Classic Eyelash Extensions

These is our signature lash application where we attach one lash extension to your natural eyelash for a simple, clean and vibrant look. It’s the application that most mimics the look and feel of natural lashes.

We recommend classic lashes to those who want their lashes to look beautiful yet natural. See the photo below of a real guest with classic lash extensions.

Volume Eyelash Extensions

When it comes to volume extensions, we attach an ultra-light fan of 2–6 lash extensions to your natural eyelash for a full, bold, impactful look. Our volume lashes are most popular with our guests since they offer incredible fullness. See the photo below of a real guest with volume lash extensions.
